ONE DAY REMAINS

The South African metal titans are back!

After a long hiatus, legendary rockers One Day Remains are back — recharged, reimagined, and ready to shake the ground once again. With a brand-new lineup, originally known as “Zion,” the band has chosen to carry forward the One Day Remains legacy rather than start fresh — and the result is nothing short of explosive.

Far from just dusting off the cobwebs, this return marks a powerful rebirth. The band’s sound is heavier, more refined, and emotionally charged, bridging the best of their past with a bold new direction.

Leading the comeback is their new single, “Enemy in the Mirror” — a raw, hard-hitting anthem that dives into inner conflict and self-reflection. It’s the perfect preview of what’s to come: honest, intense, and unapologetically real. ”Enemy in the Mirror” is out now on all platforms!

Backed by standout tracks like “The Need” and “Never Say Die” which have  spent weeks climbing the charts, the momentum is undeniable. One Day Remains is no longer just a name from the past — it’s a force reclaiming its place in the present.

Who is behind One Day Remains?

Leading the charge is Michael Naranjo, a multi award winning Afri indie artist singer-songwriter, and the original driving force behind One Day Remains. He is also the frontman of award-winning rock group Naranjo, who you might know from their hit single “Going nowhere slowly” (the title track for the award winning television programme of the same name)

Michael's powerful vocals drove hits like the chart-topping "Never Say Die" – the Springboks' Tri-Nation theme song – and "The Need", which held the #1 spot on the airwaves for weeks.

Joining him is Johan Heyns, the progressive guitarist and vocalist from legendary South African alt-metal kings Far From Who We Are, who’s revered not only for his jaw-dropping riffs but also for his skills in mixing and mastering (he’s the man behind leading South African studio The Laundy Room)

And on drums, Wayne de Bruyn from HeadFury, Torch the Smile and Liberty Down round out the lineup. Wayne’s rhythmic precision helped Headfury make headlines with their chart-topping singles, and now he's bringing that same explosive energy to One Day Remains.
