Soul Suture is an exciting new solo project by South African guitarist and songwriter Vince van der Walt (Headfury). The project is a collaborative effort featuring performances by various talented South African vocalists from past and present.

"Suffer in Silence" is the first single from the artist's forthcoming debut EP (The Art of Escape / The Escape of Art) planned for release in August 2021 via HopePunk Records. "Suffer in Silence" features the vocal stylings of Johan Heyns (Far From Who We Are) and draws influences from bands such as Tool and Karnivool. The track is also tastefully complimented by Kyle Reece Williams’ drumming.

The upcoming EP will feature vocal performances by Fred Honig (Inersha), Gideon Kretschmer (HeadFury, Wonderwolf) and Clemens van der Baan (Subrosa) and promises to be a really interesting and unique rock record combining the diverse musical influences and styles of the different collaborators with Vince's signature alternative rock guitar grooves.

Masterfully recorded, mixed and mastered by Johan Heyns at the Laundry Room, South Africa

Lyrics

It seems like we're falling through the cracks and coming apart at the seams.
Now brace yourself

We suffer in silence
Our heads facing the floor
Save us from this downward spiral
And if fear is a weakness then let's settle the score
Bury the bird and let it decay

From the outside looking in I can see the beginning of the end.

Erase, replace, burn it to the ground
Now all these sacrifices were all in vein

But we suffer in silence
Our heads facing the floor
Save us from this downward spiral

From the outside looking in I can see the beginning of the end
Ignite the the fire within and let burn bright again
